The ballast is an essential element of any HID system, providing proper starting voltage to strike and maintain the high intensity arc and regulate current to the lamp during operation. The Above-Ground Ballast is available in Textured Architectural Bronze® to complement the fixtures and blend into the landscape. Our In-Ground and Above-Ground ballasts carry a UL or CSA listing mark suitable for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
