ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
The Stage Gate Project Manager leads the implementation effort, is responsible for
maintaining, updating and improving the system, provides training to employees, uses portfolio
management techniques for portfolio analysis and gate meetings, tracks each new-product project
through the process and measures performance and success, facilitates and referees the gate
meetings, acts as coach and resource to project teams, oversees the IT support system for product
development, seeks out and disseminates new tools for product development and project
management.
Specific work experience and job requirements for this position:
- 7+ yrs of hands-on Project Management experience. Preferably in the Consumer Product
industry.
- 5+ yrs of hands-on New Product Development or Milestone process working with complex,
electrical or electronics products
- Strong knowledge of Stage Gate principles & methods-involvement in full implementation
cycle
- Proficient in MS Project and Office or similar tools
- Project management Professional certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of the New Product Development processes
- Strong Communication (presentation, written & oral), Facilitation & Problem
solving
- Strong Analytical skills-financial & process
- Strong Time Management & Organizational skills
- Ability to lead and direct a cross functional team
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Experience working with teams & suppliers in China a plus
